Fertility Preservation and ART Safe for HR-positive Breast Cancer Patients

A recent study has shown that fertility preservation and assisted reproductive technologies (ART) can be safely used by patients with HR-positive breast cancer. Findings revealed that these treatments do not increase the risk of cancer recurrence. This is encouraging news for young women diagnosed with breast cancer who wish to preserve their fertility options. They can confidently opt for procedures like egg or embryo freezing without fearing any detrimental effects on their health. ART technologies, which help in conceiving after cancer treatment, are also deemed safe for these patients. This study provides a ray of hope for patients, assuring them that pursuing fertility preservation is a viable option.
