Rescuers have recently started the process of vertical drilling in an effort to rescue 41 workers who have been trapped inside the Uttarkashi tunnel for the past 15 days. The workers had been stuck inside the Silkyara tunnel due to a massive landslide. The rescue team is using this method to reach the workers and bring them to safety. With no other viable options available, vertical drilling provides a ray of hope in this desperate situation.
