“Discovery of High Levels of ³He/⁴He in Arctic Lava Raises Questions about Earth’s Core”

A recent discovery by scientists has brought to light the presence of high levels of a specific type of helium, known as ³He/⁴He, in Arctic lava. This finding has led researchers to speculate that the Earth’s core might be “leaking” helium. Until now, it was believed that the Earth’s core was entirely sealed off from the outer layers. If confirmed, this discovery could revolutionize our understanding of the Earth’s core and its dynamics. Further research is needed to ascertain the implications of this finding and to determine the extent to which helium leakage from the core is occurring.
